Amidst the thrills and endless supply of fried foods, there’s a whole world of friendly competition. From livestock shows to talent contests, there’s something for everyone. Check out our guide to the must-see contests and competitions at the Tulsa State Fair!

Awesome Eats

Each year, concessionaires compete in the highly anticipated Awesome Eats Competition, showcasing their most delicious and inventive fair foods and drinks. The competition features three exciting categories: Savory, Sweet, and Sips. As the judges stroll through the Midway, they stop at each booth to hear the concessionaires' creative presentations. This fun and flavorful competition is a fan favorite, always leaving attendees craving more of the unique and mouthwatering treats!

Open Competitive Exhibits

The Open Competitive Exhibits at the Tulsa State Fair offer a chance for exhibitors to showcase their skills and talents in a wide variety of categories, such as; Culinary, Fine Arts, Hand Arts, Photography, and Pumpkin Decorating. This year’s Open Competitive Exhibits is featuring a special America 250 category, searching for the best patriotic photographs, baked goods, and more! 4-H & FFA Exhibits

The 4-H and FFA (Future Farmers of America) Exhibits display vital parts of the Fair’s educational and agricultural aspects. These Exhibits showcase 4-H and FFA members skills, talents, and hard work through multiple divisions, including; Communication and Creative Arts, Science and Technology, Family and Consumer Science, Mechanical and Industrial, Environmental Education and Earth Sciences, and Plants and Animals. Livestock & Horse Shows

The Livestock and Horse Shows at the Tulsa State Fair are some of the most exciting and anticipated events of the Fair, showcasing the hard work, dedication, and skill of youth and professional exhibitors. The livestock that are highlighted include; Horses, Beef and Dairy Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Poultry, and Rabbits. These shows are a precursor to the always-exciting Night of Champions, which is a special evening dedicated to celebrating the hard work and achievements of young 4-H and FFA exhibitors. Oklahoma State Fiddling Championships

The Oklahoma State Fiddling Championships at the Tulsa State Fair is a long-time tradition that celebrates Oklahoma’s rich musical heritage and presents talented fiddlers from across the state. For more information on this competition, visit our website.

Miss Tulsa State Fair Pageant

The Miss Tulsa State Fair Pageant is a fun-filled event held annually at the Fair, showcasing the talents, intelligence, and poise of young women from across Oklahoma. This preliminary to the Miss Oklahoma Pageant features on-stage interviews, a talent category, and evening wear category. This show draws in both participants and spectators for an exciting celebration of young women's achievements and aspirations.
